Support

Install, activate, deactivate, renew — and how to get in touch when something slips.

Install

  1. Download the latest DMG from GitHub Releases.
  2. Open the DMG and drag Drift Station to Applications.
  3. Launch the app. macOS shows a Gatekeeper prompt the first time — the build is Developer ID signed and notarised, so click Open to continue.
  4. Drift Station is immediately usable at the free tier — no account, no sign-in.

Activate Pro

After buying from /buy, Paddle emails a licence key and redirects you to /success. You have two ways in:

  • Click Open in Drift Station on the success page — this fires a drift-station:// deep link and activates the licence automatically.
  • Or open the App → Settings → License, paste the key, and click Activate.

Deactivate a device

Each licence supports up to five activations. To move your seat to a new Mac:

  1. On the Mac you're leaving, open Drift Station → Settings → License → Deactivate this device.
  2. On the new Mac, paste the same key and click Activate.

If you no longer have access to the old Mac — sold, wiped, died — email us and we'll release the seat manually.

Seat limit reached

Hitting the five-seat limit surfaces a list of your current activations (machine name and activation date) inside the App. Pick one to release, then try the new activation again.

Renew your updates window

Your purchase includes one year of updates. When the window lapses, the App keeps working but stops accepting new releases. Renew for $14.99/yr at /renew — the page prefills your licence key when you arrive via the in-app prompt. Renewal extends the window and resumes Sparkle updates without any re-activation.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by Paddle as merchant of record. Within Paddle's standard window, reply to your Paddle receipt email with “Refund, please” and they will process it. A refunded licence is revoked on the next verification call (up to seven days), and the App falls back to the free tier.

Email hello@driftstation.app. Include:

  • The Drift Station version (Settings → About → Version).
  • macOS version.
  • A step-by-step of what you did and what you expected.
