Terms of Use

Drift Station Pro — perpetual-use licence. Last updated April 24, 2026.

1. What you're buying

Drift Station Pro is a one-time purchase of a perpetual licence to use the Drift Station macOS app (“the App”). The licence is non-transferable. One licence covers up to five activations on devices you personally own or control. Team seats are sold separately.

2. Updates window

Your purchase includes one year of updates from the date of purchase. During that window you receive every new App release. Once the window expires, every App build released up to and including your expiry date keeps working indefinitely — you keep using the version you paid for. Renewing for $14.99 extends the updates window by a further year and reopens access to new builds.

3. Activation and device limit

Activating the App on a Mac consumes one seat. You can deactivate a seat from the App's Settings → License pane at any time to free it up. Reaching the five-seat limit surfaces a list of current activations so you can release one before adding a new device.

4. Refunds, chargebacks, and revocation

Payment is processed by Paddle, our merchant of record. Refund requests within Paddle's standard window are honoured. When a refund or chargeback is recorded, the licence is marked revoked on the next verification call (up to seven days) and the App transitions to the read-only free tier. You keep your data — only Pro-gated actions (export, import, apply, secret detection, LAN sync) become unavailable.

5. Data handling

Drift Station scans and reads configuration on your Mac. The App does not upload inventories to our servers. LAN sync is peer-to-peer over Bonjour and never leaves your local network. Paddle handles payment and billing data separately — see Paddle's privacy policy for their scope. Our own privacy policy is at /privacy.

6. Warranty and liability

The App is provided “as is”. We make no warranties beyond what applicable law requires. To the maximum extent permitted, we are not liable for lost data, lost profits, or indirect damages arising from use of the App. Our aggregate liability is capped at the amount you paid for your licence. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when we change how Drift Station operates (new pricing, new features that affect your data). Material changes will be announced on this page and via the in-app Settings pane. Your rights under the licence you already paid for don't shrink retroactively.
